Lily Henley & Duncan Wickel

“Alta Alta Va La Luna”

Lily Henley and Duncan Wickel's repertoire spans cultures and continents, yet they are fearless in experimenting with tradition. The duo felt called to record their rendition of "Alta Alta Va La Luna," sung in the Ladino language. They were drawn to the aesthetics and acoustics of famous potter Akira Satake’s studio in the River Arts District of Asheville, NC. Parkway Studios brought the mobile A/V rig to capture this stunning performance on-site.
